where is the money going?

This includes all the costs associated with operating our project i.e. working with local venues, bringing our first cohort to Mindelo, providing child care & food during our programs.

each student will be compensated for their time, this ensures equal opportunity for working mothers, single parents, and youth alike. it also creates a sense of responsibility and accountability towards the program.

Setting up a ceramics studio requires a minimum level of available tools (think moulds, wires, sponges, and ribs) as well as equipment (wheels, kilns, drying shelves and more).

Our team works hard to make this happen, they need to get paid too —and fairly!

Alongside our dedicated ceramics program will be open community workshops. This allows for greater reach and involvement, and broader support for the program.

As our project moves beyond our preliminary 6 month course we will be setting up our own space that will act as our offices, community center and workshop.
