Atelier SOLM

We are the SOLM ceramic and design atelier based in Sao Vicente, Cabo Verde. Rooted in the landscapes and traditions of Cabo Verde, we design and create bespoke ceramic pieces using locally sourced clay and mineral rich glazes inspired by the island’s volcanic geology. Each object is shaped, finished, and fired by hand, making every piece entirely unique.

Established out of SOLM’s foundational program: SAB, Atelier SOLM exists to create dignified economic opportunities for women and youth through craftsmanship, creativity, and regenerative hospitality.

Through the creation of commissioned collections for hospitality partners, and holding workshops for local and international guests, the atelier connects local artisanal talent with the global hospitality and tourism industry, transforming traditional making practices into sustainable livelihoods, cultural preservation, and meaningful design experiences.
