Current Projects
We’re currently growing a set of projects rooted in regenerative hospitality, from Barro y Raízes to community space activation and place-based learning. Your support fuels this work and helps us shape what comes next.
Casa Social Reactivation
We recently partnered with Calhau Residents and the Municipality of Sao Vicente to reactivate the Casa Social, or Community Center of Calhau. Our first round of funding enabled us to host our first activation and create participatory ceramics installation.
Barro y Raízes
We are preparing to implement our first ceramics & leadership program, Barro & Raízes (Clay & Roots). For the women and youth of Calhau, this program is an opportunity to build skills, access new knowledge, and create sustainable opportunities that will impact their communities. In a place where resources for creative and economic growth can be limited, ceramics becomes a gateway to education, design, and entrepreneurship skills.
SOLM x ISOB
We are currently developing a project in collaboration with ISOB, the Cape Verdean collective behind the Outros Bairros Initiative: a series of participatory urban rehabilitation projects focused on the unplanned neighborhoods of Mindelo
