Join SAB resident Mariana Bonetto, Argentinian ceramicist and co-founder of the Barcelona-based studio El Patio, for a morning of clay, coffee and conversation. Designed for all levels of experience, the session invites guests to slow down and explore the process of making their own ceramics using the “pinch” method in a relaxed open studio setting. The workshop takes place in Alternativa Galeria, a space that has been home to handmade work since 1981.

Participants will create ceramic pieces of their own using the pinch method, and will be able to decorate them with various available colors and techniques. Throughout the morning, Mariana will guide guests through techniques, textures, composition and surface decoration while encouraging experimentation and personal expression.

All finished pieces will remain at the studio for firing and glazing, and will be ready for collection approximately two weeks later. Shipping can also be arranged for an additional fee.
