Transform locally sourced Cabo Verdean clay into a beautiful ceramic lamp that brings warmth and character to your home.

During this experience, you'll be guided step by step through the process of designing and handbuilding your own one-of-a-kind table lamp. No previous ceramics experience is required—our team will support you throughout, from shaping your piece to preparing it for firing.

After the workshop, your lamp will be carefully dried, bisque fired, finished with a transparent glaze, and fired a second time by our team. Once complete, it will be professionally assembled with all the electrical components, ready to simply plug in and enjoy.

Your finished lamp will be ready for collection approximately two to three weeks after the workshop. If you're visiting Cabo Verde, we're happy to arrange worldwide shipping so your handmade piece can travel home with you.

No previous ceramics experience is required. All materials, firing, glazing, and lamp assembly are included.

The workshop takes place at Alternativa Galeria, a space that has been home to handmade work in Mindelo since 1981 and continues to inspire creativity across generations.
