Our mon pikenin (little hands) sessions welcome children aged 5 to 12 to explore, create, and discover through hands-on workshops inspired by craftsmanship, nature, and imagination.

In this edition, Ceramic painting, young makers will discover the joy of painting ceramic plates and cups, using our house selection of glazes, our young makers will be guided to to share their imagination into decorating their pieces while exploring their creativity in a playful and welcoming environment.

The workshop takes place at Alternativa Galeria, a space that has been home to handmade work in Mindelo since 1981 and continues to inspire creativity across generations.

All finished pieces will remain at our SOLM Atelier in Calhau for drying and firing and will be ready for collection approximately two weeks later. Shipping can also be arranged for an additional fee.

Includes all materials needed for the workshop, including clay, coloured engobes, tools, firing, and light refreshments.

Please note: To encourage independence and allow children to fully immerse themselves in the experience, mon pikenin is a drop-off workshop. Parents and guardians are invited to return at the end of the session for pick-up.
