During this experience, you'll handcraft your own ceramic cup the small cup traditionally used to enjoy grogue—while discovering the story behind Preta Crioula Velho, the newest release from Preta Crioula.

Produced in Santo Antão from the rare Preta Crioula sugarcane, this grogue reflects generations of craftsmanship and a long-standing effort to preserve one of Cabo Verde's unique agricultural and cultural traditions. Throughout the evening, you'll enjoy a guided tasting as you learn more about the people, history, and heritage behind every bottle.

Your ceramic cup will be carefully dried, fired, and glazed by our team, ready for collection approximately two weeks after the workshop. If you're visiting Cabo Verde, we're happy to arrange worldwide shipping so your handmade piece can travel home with you.

The workshop takes place at Alternativa Galeria, a space that has been home to handmade work in Mindelo since 1981 and continues to inspire creativity across generations.
